Sony Interactive Entertainment named the rest of MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls‘ first year of downloadable fighters in a trailer released on 11 October 2026: Thor (Jane Foster), Venom and Jubilee will follow Phoenix Cyclops. The tag-team fighter is developed by Japan’s Arc System Works, published by Sony, and launched in August 2026 on PS5 and PC. Japanese site 4Gamer published the roadmap that evening Japan time, and English-language outlets such as VICE covered it the same day.
The Year 1 line-up
- Phoenix Cyclops: 2 November 2026, with “Classic” and “Legacy” costumes. He is the first character in the Year 1 Pass; Arc System Works producer Takeshi Yamanaka announced him on 7 October on the PlayStation Blog.
- Thor (Jane Foster): labelled “WINTER 2027” in the trailer. 4Gamer reads this as early 2027, but no exact date has been given.
- Venom: spring 2027, together with a new stage, Klyntar, the symbiotes’ home world, as 4Gamer and Game Informer both report.
- Jubilee: summer 2027, the fourth and final character of the first year, according to VICE.
Game Informer notes that the trailer shows Jane Foster, Venom and Jubilee as illustrations in the watercolour style the game’s promotion has used for its cast, not as in-engine gameplay, so there is no footage yet of how the three play. VICE credits the music in the Thor reveal to Keiichi Okabe of MONACA.
What the $34.99 pass contains
On the US PlayStation Store, the Year 1 Character and Stage Pass is listed at $34.99. Its description promises “four more iconic Marvel characters, an additional stage, and a set of result screen character poses”. The new trailer fills in those slots: the four characters are Phoenix Cyclops, Thor (Jane Foster), Venom and Jubilee, and the stage is Klyntar. Prices and edition contents vary by region; in Japan, 4Gamer lists the base game’s Standard Edition at 7,980 yen.
Only Phoenix Cyclops has a date
The release windows stretch the first DLC year to summer 2027, roughly a year after launch, with about one character a season. Only Phoenix Cyclops has a firm date; the other three have windows and could still move. Players deciding on the pass now know which characters they are paying for, but will have to wait until next year to see Jane Foster, Venom and Jubilee in action.
