Infold Games has announced a crossover between its 3D romance game Love and Deepspace (恋与深空) and Denis Villeneuve’s 2017 film Blade Runner 2049, running from 19 October to 5 November 2026. Japanese site 4Gamer published the announcement on the afternoon of 18 October, Japan time. Many fans answered by asking for the love interest the Chinese studio cancelled in June.

Free check-in rewards in a rainy, neon city

English-language coverage names the event Rendered Real. Players who check in during the event can claim free rewards: standard materials, a sticker, a “Manifest” portrait background and a duo photo pose called “At Your Touch”. According to Pocket Tactics, the pose recreates a scene between the film’s K and Joi, and ten days of check-ins unlock everything. Pocket Tactics and GachaGo also list a cinematic trailer and a new story.

A concept trailer released ahead of the event places the game’s five love interests, Xavier, Zayne, Rafayel, Sylus and Caleb, in a rainy, neon-lit city modelled on the film. 4Gamer reports that it is built around the idea of being “interlinked”, with themes of memory and sensation, and the message that “love is the truth”. The Japanese announcement lists the event from 06:00 on 19 October to 05:59 on 5 November, while GachaGo gives 05:00 to 04:59 in server time, so start times differ by server. No limited banners had been announced at the time of writing.

Fans ask for the cancelled sixth love interest

Pocket Tactics reports that replies to the announcement were full of “Bring Valko Back” messages. Valko is the name English-speaking fans use for a sixth love interest whom Infold cancelled. One player wrote that the studio had taken away the perfect love interest “for a Blade Runner crossover”. Pocket Tactics also noted that the partner is a film released almost a decade ago, which made the choice feel unexpected to some fans.

On 30 June 2026 the game’s official Weibo account said it was cancelling the launch and development of its new male lead, Ao Yin, and would not add any new male leads in future. Beijing News reported that nearly 10,000 players had filed collective complaints about the character’s introduction. In its statement the team admitted it had brought him to players “before we were fully ready”, said it would concentrate on the existing five leads, and gave all players in-game wish tickets as compensation.

The crossover keeps that promise: it gives the existing characters a new setting without changing the cast. For the players who still want the cast to change, the announcement became a place to say so. Whether it moves the conversation on will be clearer when the event ends on 5 November.
