SEGA Fave, the SEGA Sammy company that makes SEGA’s arcade machines, said on 2 November 2026 that a third party had gained unauthorized access to some of its servers: internal systems behind the ALL.Net arcade network and the Aime player card service. The company’s notice, published in Japanese and English, says ALL.Net and Aime services have been suspended since 15:00 JST on 1 November while it investigates whether data was taken and how far the intrusion reached. It has not given a restart date.
The initial investigation has not confirmed any leak of customer or business-partner information, the notice says, and payment information, including credit card data, is managed separately and was not affected. It does not say when the intrusion was discovered and does not mention regions outside Japan. As of 18:00 JST on 2 November, the suspended services were online play in ALL.Net titles, arcade location listings on official game sites, the games’ “.NET” member services, play with Aime cards and with PrizeON, the SEGA Lucky Kuji Online lottery and new SEGA ID registrations. SEGA Fave says the investigation will take some time and that it will announce the restart once its security checks are complete. Japanese outlets including Den Fami Nico Gamer reported the notice the same evening.
The arcade games that lost card play
ALL.Net also carries other makers’ games, so the outage reaches beyond SEGA: the notice tells players of ALL.Net titles supplied by Bandai Namco Experience to check that company’s announcements. Dengeki Online’s round-up of official notices lists Aime play and online play as unavailable in SEGA’s rhythm games maimai DX, CHUNITHM and ONGEKI and in Initial D THE ARCADE, while Eiketsu Taisen cannot be played at all. Bandai Namco’s arcade Taiko no Tatsujin cannot read amusement IC cards such as Bandai Namco Passport, or QR codes. Online modes are down in the Mobile Suit Gundam EXVS. series, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Last Survivor, Idolmaster Tours and Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune, although the Mobile Suit Gundam Arsenal series still allows offline guest play. Game*Spark adds Kantai Collection Arcade and MJ Arcade to the SEGA titles whose Aime play is affected. maimai’s own notice of 1 November says only that Aime play, online content and store listings are unavailable until the maintenance ends.
A Sunday afternoon spent checking routers
The shutdown began on a Sunday afternoon. The manager of Playhouse Erina, a 45-year-old arcade in Niigata, wrote on note on 2 November that its Taiko no Tatsujin, CHUNITHM and ONGEKI cabinets and its ALL.Net P-ras MULTI machine all stopped at once. Staff spent hours checking PCs, routers and network equipment, expecting a local fault, before learning that the cause was server maintenance on the maker’s side. The store had received no individual explanation or notice of compensation, the manager wrote, adding: “Sales stop, but expenses don’t.” 4Gamer reported at 15:39 JST on 2 November that services were still down, and Dengeki’s last update at 22:42 that night still had no end time.
SEGA’s arcade arm since 2024
SEGA Fave was formed on 1 April 2024, when SEGA Sammy moved SEGA’s amusement machine business into SEGA Toys and renamed the company, gamebiz reported when the plan was announced. Its company profile lists toys, arcade machines and prize goods as its main businesses, with 860 employees. This is the second SEGA group service taken offline over security in two weeks: SEGA’s smartphone RPG Chain Chronicle has been in emergency maintenance since 23 October over security vulnerability problems, as GameTales reported. Neither company has linked the two incidents.
