gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show closed in Bangkok on 1 November 2026 with 219,546 visitors from 113 countries over four days, according to the organisers’ closing release. The count is preliminary, taken at 19:30 on the final day at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The first joint edition, held on 16–19 October 2025, had 206,159 visitors, the organisers reported at the time, so attendance rose by about 6.5%.

The show is run by Germany’s Koelnmesse, which also organises gamescom in Cologne, with the Thai events company Show No Limit and Online Station, part of True Corporation. This year it had 335 exhibitors and pavilions, up from 294, from a record 29 countries; 64% came from outside Thailand. Twenty national pavilions and delegations from 12 markets included Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Germany, Spain and the United States. “This was the most international show we have staged,” said Mathias Kuepper, Koelnmesse’s managing director and regional president for Asia-Pacific.

The trade side grew faster than the public halls. The business area on 29 and 30 October drew 6,923 trade visitors, against 5,590 a year earlier, although they came from 78 countries rather than 81. Just over half travelled from abroad. Exhibitors showed 582 titles, 347 of them from independent developers, and the Thai Playvilion, run with the Thai Game Association, presented more than 90 Thai games. In the pitch competition, MiMu Studio’s Little Old One and the Witch won Best Visual, NOTAI Games’ Slop Capital won Best Game Design, and the audience voted Hypercent Inc.’s Backroom Cleaners the most anticipated game. John Romero headed 81 conference speakers.

Pragmata wins the Thailand Game Awards

Capcom’s Pragmata was named Game of the Year at the Thailand Game Awards, held at the show. Thai tech site beartai lists the 14 winners and says the top prize combined 90% scores from Thai gaming media with 10% player votes. Pragmata also took Best Action Game. Kuro Games won Best Game Publisher, and its Wuthering Waves won both Best Ongoing Game and the fan-decided Popular Vote. Meccha Chameleon took Best Indie Game and Best Multiplayer Game, and Grand Theft Auto VI was voted Most Anticipated Game. None of the 14 category winners in beartai’s list is a Thai-developed game.

Thai coverage presented the closing figures as evidence of national industry growth. MGR Online emphasised that this year’s show used all four of the venue’s halls, the largest space it has occupied, and listed government partners including the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Japanese site 4Gamer’s photo report from the floor shows large Japanese publisher booths next to Thai indie stands and a Muay Thai ring.

The next edition is set for 21–24 October 2027 at the same venue.
