Truckful, a physics-based delivery adventure from Polish studio MythicOwl, is out on Steam. It is the first game from Pocketpair Publishing, the publishing label of Tokyo-based Pocketpair. The Steam store lists 9 October 2026 as the release date. In Pocketpair’s own Japanese announcement the launch time is 01:00 JST on Saturday 10 October, which is still 9 October in Europe and the Americas (Steam; Pocketpair release via Oricon).

What the game is

Players drive a pickup truck to deliver packages to people in a quiet rural town. Away from the roads there are hidden paths, foggy marshes, swamps and quicksand, and the forest hides an old mystery. The publisher calls it a puzzle truck simulator built on physics: loads have to be carried, not just driven from one marker to the next (Pocketpair release, 9 September).

Platforms, price and languages

  • Steam (PC): available now. Pocketpair’s Japanese release gives a price of 2,200 yen including tax. The European store showed a 10% launch discount running until 23 October when we checked (Steam).
  • Google Play: scheduled for the same date at the same 2,200 yen price, with pre-registration opened in September. We have not confirmed the Android listing is live in every region (Pocketpair release via Oricon).
  • PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5: announced, but without a date. Pocketpair says these versions are not part of this launch (Pocketpair release).
  • Languages: the Steam page lists 30, including Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Polish and Russian (Steam).

A Japan-Poland partnership

MythicOwl first revealed Truckful in July 2024 and planned to publish it itself. In April 2025, Pocketpair announced that its new publishing arm, set up in January 2025 to fund and publish independent developers, would release Truckful as its first title (Automaton, 7 April 2025). In September 2026 the game was one of the 80 titles chosen for Tokyo Game Show’s SELECTED INDIE 80 programme. Pocketpair says the programme picked them from more than 1,500 applications worldwide, and visitors could play Truckful at the Makuhari Messe show (Pocketpair release).

This is a European-developed game taken to market by a Japanese publisher, with a Japanese-language launch announcement. For Pocketpair Publishing it is the first test of whether the label can turn a festival-selected indie project into a commercial release. On launch weekend Steam rated user reviews ‘Mostly Positive’, based on only a few dozen reviews.
